Camping & Caravan Sites With Swimming Pools To Check Out

The warm sunny weather has finally arrived after a very long wait, and the kids have broken up for the long summer holiday. It’s the perfect time to pack up your caravan supplies or tent for a holiday adventure. Taking a refreshing outdoor dip can be appealing at this time of year, so campsites with a pool can be an enticing prospect. Here are a few to check out.

Callow Top Holiday Park, Derbyshire Dales

Callow Top is an award-winning caravan and camping site in the heart of the Peak District, near to the attractive market town of Ashbourne, and an easy and scenic drive to the nearby tourist hotspots of Bakewell, Matlock and Buxton. It boasts an outdoor heated swimming pool, open between May and September, with a separate paddling pool for tots.

The park also has a well-stocked fishing lake and a bird hide, and is adjacent to a wildlife reserve. There’s also a pub and shop on site, and the kids will be delighted to learn that it is just a 20 minute drive to the popular Alton Towers theme park.

Lazonby Campsite, Penrith, Cumbria

The charms of Cumbria need no introduction, with the beauty of the Lake District all around. Lazonby Campsite at the northern end of the Lakes is a small peaceful site next to a river, with only ten pitches, but it benefits from an adjacent outdoor community heated swimming pool. There’s also a children’s play park nearby. 

Trewan Hall Campsite, St Columb Major, Cornwall

Trewan Hall is a simple Cornish campsite just inland from Mawgan Porth that is set within the grounds of a 17th century mansion. There is a heated outdoor swimming  pool open during the summer months, plus access to parkland walks and the library of the hall. It’s a classy yet unpretentious site with affordable pitches.
