This site is for caravans, motorhomes, and small campervans and is open to Caravan Club members only, although you may be able to join at the site. It’s open from March to October, and is a short drive from the popular Porthkidney beach at the southern edge of St Ives Bay. It’s the perfect place if you really want to get away from it all without being too isolated.
The Killegruer campsite is located 12 miles north of Campbelltown in the Kintyre Peninsula, right at the edge of the sea and has direct access to the beach. You can enjoy open sea views and look across to the islands. The site accepts tourers, motorhomes and tents, and is open from April to October. There are free hot showers and electric hookup points.
Skrinkle Bay Camping, near Manorbier, Pembrokeshire
Pembrokeshire offers some of the most stunning coastline in the country, with a hidden gem around every corner. Skrinkle Haven is just another example; it’s a beach only accessible via 160 steps and a tunnel passage. However, you can camp directly above it with uninterrupted views out to Caldey Island and beyond.
Southwold Camping and Caravan Site, Suffolk
This is a site for touring caravans that offers direct access to the sea and wide sandy beach. It has modern facilities and some hookup facilities. The campsite is situated near a harbour at the mouth of the River Blyth.
