Brits love a staycation, with more people opting to stay in the UK than ever before, so if you’re planning on spending your summer in a caravan, it could be time to start getting ready for your trip.

Last year, more than half of Brits planned to take a staycation last year, with the trend having continued following the pandemic when travel restrictions made heading abroad difficult.

Holidaying in Britain was most popular with Gen Z and Millennials last summer, with 64 per cent intending to stay on home soil. The average amount of money spent on staycations in 2023 was £1,367, showing just how seriously people take their UK holidays.

With people spending more on their breaks at home, they want their trip to feel comfortable, allowing them to still enjoy the holiday feeling even if they do not step foot on a plane.

For those caravanning, this can easily be achieved, as they can fill their vehicle with their home comforts, from their favourite electronics to tasty snacks.

They can also equip their caravan so it is easier to cook, shower, go to the toilet, and have a restful night’s sleep. For instance, they could invest in an air conditioning unit, a gas stove, and water pumps.

They might also want to decorate their motorhome in a way that makes it feel like home, or update their caravan accessories before the shops sell out.

Summer will be here before we know it, so it is sensible to grab things as soon as possible, particularly if more people are planning to do the same thing and enjoy a caravan staycation this year.
