This side fitting strap kit is designed to save your awning from blowing over the top or ripping the awning away from the side of your motorhome or caravan.
Do not use other straps or ratchet style systems, your awning will still need to flex and not be tied taut and tensioned so that it will tear.

This IS the genuine product developed by Thule.

The small metal saddle section as shown in the photograph slots into the small gap on the top of the leg top of the leg of the Thule awnings listed below, including the Thule 1200, 4900, 4200, 5000, 5002, 5200, 5003, 8000, 6200, 6300 and 6900 awning.

Neither Thule/Omnistor recommend any strap that does not have a spring as these straps are designed to give flexibility under windy conditions not be tensioned “Taut” with no give at all
